Nuevo México, EU.- Una atrevida pintura que presuntamente representa a la Virgen de Guadalupe, la cual está casi totalmente desnuda bajo un chal, ha desatado un sinfín de críticas en Santa Fe, Nuevo México.
La artista Paz Winshtein fue quien realizó esta obra sobre el icono religioso, lo cual provocó gran indignación durante un foro comunitario en el que algunos católicos solicitaron el retiro de la pieza a la galería de arte Eye on the Mountain.
El cuadro forma parte de una de las diferentes imágenes alusivas a la Virgen de Guadalupe que están en exhibición en dicha galería, la cual fue inaugurada el pasado jueves 11 de diciembre.
Winshtein dijo que el arte puede incomodar a algunas personas, pero descartó que la obra tenga propósitos blasfemos.
El año pasado, también en Nuevo México, un semanario alternativo tuvo que ofrecer disculpas por presentar en portada una imagen de una mujer en bikini que tenía una fuerte semejanza con la imagen de la Virgen de Guadalupe.
